How to reach Veľký Kamenec:

By train:

Your best option for getting to Veľký Kamenec (place of the course) is to take train from the city Košice [map - click on "A"] to the village Somotor [map - click on "B"] (direction Košice - Čierna nad Tisou). It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

You have direct trains to Košice ("hlavná stanica") from Bratislava ("hlavná stanica"), Wien ("Westbf"), Budapest ("Keleti pu.") and Warsaw ("centralna").

We suggest you to travel with IC trains. You have to buy a ticket and reservation for your seat in the station (not on the train).

By plane:

You can also fly to Košice from Bratislava, Wien and Prague.

From the airport to Košice train station ("hlavná stanica") [map - click on "A"] you can take a bus No. 23, which goes directly to the main station (13 minutes). Or you can take a taxi (10 minutes).

Then you have to take train to Somotor [map - click on "B"] (direction Košice - Čierna nad Tisou).

At Somotor we will have a special bus, which will bring you from Somotor to Veľký Kamenec [map - click on "C"] at these departure times:

1.30 p.m.
4. p.m.
5. p.m.
6. p.m.
8.30 p.m.

Please, try to get to Somotor taking one of these departure times and let us know the time of your arrival.
If you are coming before 1.30 p.m. or after 8.30 p.m., we will try to do our best to bring you to the place of the course.

By car:

You will need to buy a sticker to travel on highways. You can buy it at most gas stations in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. The office of the course is in the building of "Mestský úrad" on the main road and it is very easy to find.

In Slovakia you can pay only with Slovak crowns /not euro/. You need to change your money at the latest in Košice [map - click on "A"]. In Veľký Kamenec [map - click on "C"] destination you will not be able to find any exchange office but only AT M (cash dispenser)

Housing and food

The fee includes lodging for two/three/four per room in dormitory style accomodation and food three times a day.

For additional price of 100 euro /for whole week/ we can arrange pension. ( www.damaskus.sk )

In the village there is a little grocery and drugstore.

Practising

Each participant will have oportunity to practise during the day in special practising rooms located in the village.

Relax Time

In your free time you can try horse riding, walking, running or different kind of sports (table tennis, soccer etc.)

Near the village is a lake, where you can swim.

We also plan to make one trip to the countryside, so you can know better beautiful region of Tokaj.
